In 2005, Michael and I got married and together we committed ourselves to living a healthy lifestyle. Over the past six years we had two children, Evan and Edie, and as a mother it reinforced to an even greater degree how important it was to take care of myself and my family. Our lives are busy and hectic, just like other families, and it became more of a challenge to balance all the elements of healthy living.
As I have learned from friends, family, clients and coworkers along the way, balancing life’s many priorities is not easy and meeting your own personal goals sometimes takes a back seat. Seeing and hearing those concerns I decided to better educate myself and provide help to those needing some kind of support, accountability and coaching.
I completed professional training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and became a Certified Health Coach. Also, I have received certification by the International Association for Health Coaches, American Association for Drugless Practitioners and hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
Prior to starting B.B. Wellness, I served as a Learning and Leadership Development consultant at Bank of America in Charlotte and Boston. Working at a large firm, I have first-hand experience in the flow of corporate life, the responsibilities and stress that come along with those roles.
We all find a comfort zone in the routines of our daily lives and I have learned from my clients that it takes some type of wake up call to commit to changes in your lifestyle. They have all expressed to me that it wasn’t an easy decision, but making the tough choice to change their old routines and habits was critical to a happy and more healthy future. I am passionate about coaching and supporting women, men and their families on this journey. My approach is not “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all”. I tailor fit a solution that is just yours- we discuss food, exercise, physical activity, stress and relationships. We work off of your specific goals and how these all play a role in successfully getting you where you want to be.
We then create a plan for you which will enable you to get more out of every single day. As your Health Coach my goal is to equip you with the tools and support that you need to live a more fulfilling and healthy life. Together we can make a better future a reality!
