When being present means outsourcing.

I feel like it is ground hog’s day when I post. It has, again, been ages since my last blog entry. Life has been full & so good. My hope is that if you are reading this you are all doing well, too. Our little one’s are out on summer break right now and it is a luxury to be able to wake up in the morning and not be in a rushed mode to get out the door looking all put together and fed by 7:30 AM. The kids can keep on their PJ’s, watch cartoons and let me know when they are ready for breakfast and it is so NICE!

When I grew up we didn’t go to camp. Summer was about being with family, traveling to the beach and relaxing. I want that for Evan and Edie, too. They are both in one camp over the summer- each lasting a week. Edie just did hers and she loved it so much- and Evan loved getting to have one-on-one time while she was at her camp. I will get the same one-on-one with Edie when Evan does his camp in July. It is a gift to have this time being present with the little’s. They are growing up so quickly and I love to watch them grow and be there every step of the way.

While the kids are growing, so is business. This company of mine was once a tiny spark and dream in the back of my head. Now, it is thriving- I have a full schedule of client sessions each week, while launching and supporting my corporate clients, as well. I couldn’t love this work any more than I do- being able to support, guide and educate is a calling that I am happy to answer to each day. I look forward to seeing what the next year brings- growing, changing and creating the future of this business so that it can support everyone that needs it.

In a world where we don’t really have “free” time (who does, really?!) it has been important to identify when to outsource. You all know that I love to cook- my heart is in the kitchen and my love language is making beautiful food and feeding it to family and friends. But, in order to be fully present with my family I have decided to try Sunbasket for this coming week.

I am impressed with their values and food philosophy: organic, non-GMO, sustainably sourced. Also, there are so many different options for anyone’s way of eating. Paleo, vegetarian, gluten-free. I am eager to see how it goes and excited to not have to plan or shop for 3 meals this week. I will be sure to share our experience. My hope is that we LOVE it! If outsourcing dinner a few nights a week allows me to be outside blowing bubbles, painting pictures or spending quality time with Michael I am all in!

Never be afraid to ask for help, outsource or say no to something if it provides you with space to do something that makes you happy! I wish you all a wonderful weekend and, as always, if you have any questions for me I am always here!

xx
